Adventures in brain damage

Right, I’ve got a story to tell you.  It’s got everything: visions, near death experiences, poetry, needles, and bucketloads of unreasonable luck.  A word of warning though (well, two): it’s rather long, and kinda intense.  I’ve pretty much decimated it already and there’s only so much I’m willing to cut, and to quote my favorite English teacher: “if you can’t say it in 4,000 words and 11 pictures, it’s probably not worth saying”.

First, don’t worry, I’m not dying.  At least, not any faster than the rest of you. As far as I know. That’s not a challenge, call off the hounds.

So, it all started when I stepped out of the shower with a raging hangover…

The final day of safari

That’s right, the blog is being updated once again.  This particular update has been waiting to be posted for a year at least and is full of photos, as befits yet another full day of safari. 

The management apologizes in advance for the poor quality of the words, however, and assures the readership that the writer and producer responsible have both been sacked.

On schoolchildren and other wildlife

If you’re going to travel from Alexandria to Cape Town overland, you’ll of course want to get wet in the Mediterranean, Indian and Atlantic (not to mention the Nile).  So when you get to a beach town in Kenya, it’s time to check off the Indian Ocean!
